This is a list of significant new features in Enswitch 2.9. It is not an exhaustive list; minor enhancements are too many to list. A full list of features is also available.
- Many user interface enhancements for wholesale and trunking customers, including a new user type.
- Official support for Asterisk Business Edition (ABE). We now offer the choice of Asterisk 1.4 GPL edition (default for new installations), 1.2 GPL edition, and 1.4 business edition.
- Routing to PSTN carriers can be configured per rate plan, allowing higher quality routes for premium customers.
- Automatic failover between PSTN carriers can now be configured on the web.
- XML/XSLT invoices in addition to existing PDF invoices.
- A new faster SOAP API, with WSDL published for all functions.
- Remote reboot for Polycom telephones.
- Automatic provisioning of Grandstream telephones in addition to existing Snom and Polycom support.
- Logging of statistics on RTP quality and G.729 usage.
- More call screening options, including asking callers to record their names.
- The ability to limit total calls per customer in addition to existing inbound and outbound limits.
- The ability to attach notes to customers' accounts.
- Real-time queue statistics.
- More flexible hunt group and find me/follow me options.
- More powerful import facilities for creating hosted PBX users from the web or .csv file.
- Many more search and reporting options.
- Outbound fax from Hylafax clients. This feature is experimental in Enswitch 2.9, and is disabled by default.
